How do split orders work?

Last updated: July 21, 2026

What is a split order?

When some items in your order are immediately available while others need more time, brands can split your order into two shipments. This means you'll receive available items sooner, while the remaining products will follow in a separate delivery.

How does it benefit you?

  • Get available items faster without waiting for the entire order

  • Keep track of both shipments easily in your account

What happens when your order is split?

  1. You'll receive a notification about the split

  2. Available items will ship first

  3. Backordered items will follow in a second shipment

  4. Each shipment gets its own tracking number and own invoice

  5. You maintain control over the backordered portion, you can cancel it

How will you know if your order is split?

You'll receive a notification when a brand splits your order, explaining:

  • Which items will ship immediately (according to the shipping pledge of the B)

  • Which items will ship later (backorder)

  • Expected shipping dates for each part

  • No additional shipping costs

Can you cancel part of a split order?

Yes, you have the flexibility to cancel the backorder portion if the waiting time doesn't work for you. You'll receive a refund for the canceled items
