How are my products categorized and found on Ankorstore?

What is "product taxonomy" and why is it important?

Taxonomy is simply the way products are organized on the platform: each product is placed in a category and sometimes a sub-category. This helps merchants easily find what they are looking for and allows your products to be more visible and therefore, sell better.

How does Ankorstore categorize your products?

We use smart technology (AI) that analyzes the title and description of each product to place it in the most suitable category. The clearer your titles and descriptions, the better your products will be categorized!

How to write an effective title and description?

Product title:
Be simple and precise. Indicate the name, brand, color, size, or model (e.g., "CozyFluff Fleece Throw - Gray 127x152cm").

  • Description:
    Explain what the product is for, its strengths, who it is for, and add important details (for example, materials, dimensions, technical features, etc.).

Examples:

  • For a smartphone: screen size, operating system, storage capacity, camera quality, etc.

  • For a book: genre, author, brief summary.

What to do if my product is miscategorized?

Sometimes, despite our efforts, a product may end up in the wrong category. If that is the case, simply fill our contact form from your "help center" page in your customer back office to request a correction.

How to submit a request?

The form will guide you through four easy steps:

  1. Log in in your brand's back office

  2. In the menu click "Help Center"

  3. Select the type of request: Choose one of the following options from the dropdown menu:

    • I am a brand

    • I want to update my shop

    • I want to update my existing products Additional information:

  4. Share key details such as:

    • Product SKU

    • Current category and desired category : file below

  • Preferred contact method

    ⚠For requests concerning more than 10 products, we recommend uploading an Excel or CSV file.

  1. Confirmation: Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation that we have received your request.
