What is a delivery note?

A delivery note is a document that specifies the contents of a delivery and enables the transfer of responsibility of the goods.

What is the purpose of a delivery note?

From a logistical point of view, the Delivery Note facilitates the management of information relating to the delivery, and helps the various logistics stakeholders identify the contents of the goods (carriers, warehouse, etc.). In particular, it enables our fulfillment center teams to quickly check that the number of products received corresponds to those declared.

From a legal point of view, the Delivery Note serves as legal proof of delivery in the event of a dispute.

What type of information must appear on a delivery note?
  • Replenishment number (with R_XXXXXXXX_XXX format)

  • Shipment date

  • Sender’s contact details

  • Receiver’s contact details (Geodis)

  • Shipment contents :
